tattoo you

christina ricci depicted in the way any dramatic actress should, especially one who's played wednesday in the adaams family.  this is from a 2004 edition of POP, shot by mert & marcus.  it was styled by katie grand (before she founded one of my personal favourites LOVE).

rich living

in keeping with my theory that editors and others who are typically part of the "behind-the-scenes" gang of the fashion world are the next superstar faces of the industry, Vogue.com has featured the nyc apartment of their own contributor lauren santo domingo.  the space is as low-key glamourous and art-filled as one would expect from the notorious clotheshorse and socialite.

black swan

i saw black swan when it first came out last month.  i'm not typically a fan of horror, which the film most certainly is, but the ballet-natalie portman-darren aronofsky combination made it necessary viewing.  and it did not disappoint.  an added plus: the beautiful ballet costumes by the darlings of the fashion world, kate and laura mulleavy of rodarte.  these costumes are quite a step from the sequinned, polyester disasters that i wore for performances.  then again, i wasn't dancing swan lake.

the clique

Tom Ford Spring 2011 catwalk from Fashionising.com on Vimeo.

there has been an extreme amount of hype for tom ford's eponymous women's wear line.  hype which, if i'm being honest, seems to contradict his new supposedly toned down and restrained outlook as compared to his sex upped and provocative and often controversial gucci/ysl years.  this video, however, is far to fabulous not to post as the few people in that room last fall are the most important and influential in the industry--models included (julianne moore, beyonce, daphne guiness....HELLO!!!!).
